The Stinging Scarab is a Nerf blaster that was released in 1996 under the Max Force series.

Details[]
As the name implies, the Stinging Scarab is supposed to resemble a scarab. It has no trigger and is, instead, fired by a plunger using a bow-action system. It features a fold-down handle, as well as two short "legs" which double as dart holders.
The Stinging Scarab has wings on the blaster's shell, which are constructed of a translucent red plastic. The wings open up when the plunger rod is pulled. Despite the interesting appearance, the wings do not have any real function on the blaster's performance.
