Nerf maverick

The Maverick REV-6, an example of a revolver.

A revolver (abbreviated as REV with N-Strike number codes), also known as a rotating cylinder (abbreviated with RC with Alpha Strike number codes) blaster, is a type of Nerf blaster that features a revolving cylinder.

Details[]

Revolvers feature the use of a cylinder to hold and fire darts from; all of these blasters' cylinders are auto-advancing, either upon pulling the firing trigger or priming the blaster. These cylinders often have a low dart capacity, generally ranging between five to eight darts in total. Some cylinders are drop-out or swing-out cylinders, allowing the user to swing them out for an easier time reloading them. Others are fixed in place and cannot be swung out or removed without modifications.

Most revolver blasters are small and only require one hand for firing, making them a popular choice for dual-wielding. The issue of priming these blasters for use can be avoided by connecting the priming mechanisms together.

Electronic revolver[]

Main article: Electronic revolver

Electronic revolvers are revolver-style blasters that are powered by flywheels. They feature a pusher mechanism to push darts out of the chambers and into the flywheels.
