The Gator is a Nerf blaster that was released in 1996 under the Max Force series.

Details[]

As its name suggests, the Gator resembles an alligator to keep with the line's animal theme. The blaster, like the Stinging Scarab, is fired by pulling back and releasing the priming handle. When the blaster is fired, the alligator's "mouth" opens up.

As the blaster is designed after an alligator, it features the body design of an alligator, including the arms and legs of one. There is a handle in the "belly" of the blaster that unfolds where it can be held. Holding the blaster from here can make shots more accurate. The blaster also has two dart holders on top of it.

Reloading and firing[]

To load a dart into this blaster, the "mouth" of the "alligator" must be held open. This means that two hands must be used to load a dart: one to put the dart in and one to hold the mouth open.

To fire this blaster, the user must pull back the "tail" of the "alligator" and release it. The handle on the tail is rather small and was designed for children, making it difficult for older people to pull back to fire. The handle will then snap back, firing the dart out of the now opened mouth.

Trivia[]

  • The Gator is the smallest blaster released in the Max Force line-up.
