B.O.B.'s appearance from Nerf N-Strike.

B.O.B. is a character from the Nerf N-Strike video games. He serves as the antagonist and final boss for both games.

History[]

B.O.B. is an E-Nomad series robot that serves as a recruiter for the secret N-Strike force, looking to find the right people to become the "N-Strike Elite". Unknown to N-Strike, however, is his personal goal of destroying the organization and taking over the world. This plan is stopped by Shane, B.O.B.'s latest recruit into the ranks of the Elite.

Sometime after the first game, Jackal discovered the destroyed remains of B.O.B., and rebuilds him to serve his own nefarious purposes. He is as a scapegoat by Jackal, who tries to cover up his own plans of world domination. B.O.B. ends up being hacked into by Jackal, who controls him for one last fight in an attempt to stop them. He is defeated, but not destroyed, and is present in the rocket as the N-Strike Elite fly off to find Jackal's new location.

Combat[]

Nerf N-Strike[]

Despite his harmless, round appearance, B.O.B. is actually very powerful. He carries two gatling blasters, two three-barreled Magnum Dart launchers, a Ballistic Ball cannon, and three Mega Missiles. In Nerf N-Strike, when Shane fights B.O.B. on a circular platform, B.O.B. also performs quick, unpredictable evasive maneuvers to the left and right, making it hard for Shane to hit him.

Nerf N-Strike Elite[]

In Nerf N-Strike Elite, B.O.B. now fights the N-Strike Elite in four phases, using the same weapons from the first game. In phase one, he hides in an armored wheel, requiring the player to uncover him by shooting at special targets (seen by using the included Red Reveal acccessory). While this happens, he continously launches Hyperbombs and Specters to distract the player.

In phase two, he duplicates himself four times and calls out robots that get bigger and more powerful as the phase wears on. The real version of B.O.B. can be seen by using the Red Reveal; the other copies will pop out to attack the player as well.

In phase three, B.O.B. activates three Mega Missile-firing turrets that release Hyperbombs upon destruction.

In the last phase, B.O.B. loads himself in a large Juggernaut, and calls in Hyperbombs and Vileplasms every time he loses a weapon.

Trivia[]

  • The name B.O.B. might stand for something, it is unknown what it stands for.
  • While Nerf N-Strike's ending, trailer, and back of the box show B.O.B. with a Mega Missile launcher, he is never shown using it in the game. However, the launcher was brought back in Nerf N-Strike Elite, replacing his Ballistic Ball cannon.
